2020 34G roof access ladder

Does anyone have a ladder on their 2020 34G? Factory says it was not offered and service dept wont install. Kinda want one!

That means the necessary support is not in the wall or roof.

The only reason they won't install is there is nothing to screw into or support the weight of a person climbing up.

Hmmm, and my thing is how are you going to check your seals you have to check those unless they don't have seals?

I know the 2021s and 2022s have them.

I also know the factory doesn’t always give out accurate info. I’m not saying it was or wasn’t offered, but I had specific questions about the 34G and a bathroom window and they swore it never existed- except I had multiple YouTube videos that showed it.

Have you contacted Jayco directly or has all contact gone through the dealer?

Not sure how you verify one like this, though.

Ohhh, I see now, that's not bad a ladder came on my 2022 Jayco Precept 36C.

To confirm just push on your rear outside wall. I have the 36H 2019 Jayco Precept Prestige. I also do not have the rear ladder. My rear wall is very flexible confirming that there is no support built in for the ladder.
I opted for the portable telescopic ladder and am very pleased, as it meets my needs.

Jayco sent me this drawing of the rear cap. I do see backing but cant verify if any of it is for the ladder until I get the drawing of the ladder itself. I have seen those telescoping ladders as well.

Look like to me that nothing but styrofoam and plywood is back there, you can't put one where the styrofoam is at and there not enough plywood to put one either, number 19 is nothing but styrofoam so yeah I can see why, but what about the other 34G.

I think at this point I would get a telescope ladder but what do the top look like, maybe you can get them to send you the diagram of the top also.

Big1, 12 thru 16 of the diagram are steel backing plates

We have a 2020 Jayco Precept 34G and it came with a ladder from the factory.

Bernheimer, did you buy it new? My dealer, Mesa RV says they were told(by the factory) the 2020 did not have a ladder offering. My VIN shows no ladder in the buildout but the rear diagram sent to me shows steel backing for something? I dont think I`m getting the real truthful info from my dealer. Sad.

Contact Jayco with your vin number. Ask for the wall and roof diagrams. This will show you were the structure is at. Hence if there is anything to screw it to.

We bought ours brand new and it came with it. 2020 is when Jayco shifted from the V10 to the V8 - not sure if that has anything to do with it but ours is the V10 made earlier in the 2020 vehicle year.
