I have my Precept stored and winterized. I removed my two house batteries to be stored in my garage on a battery tender. After removing them I noticed that the wires that went to them were still sparking. I assumed this was current coming from the chassis battery. I decided to connect all the wires that were going to the positive terminal of the house batteries together and tape them up good. And the same with the negative wires. I decided to leave the chassis battery in the MH and just check and charge it every couple weeks. I start the MH up once a month and let it run for awhile. This time I tried to start my generator and let in run for awhile but it wouldn't even crank. I plugged my MH electrical service into my 120v 20a home receptacle and even then the generator wouldn't crank. When I pushed the start button on the Jay Command touch pad the display would go blank till I took my finger off the display. Does anyone know if I have to have the house batteries in to start the generator?
If you attached all the positive terminals together by bolting them together and bolting the negative terminals together, you could push the emergency button, connecting the chassis battery to the generator, you could hit the start button to get it started. You could but not suggested!
