Adding outlets to Precept 35S

Just added new kitchen electric and USB outlets to our 2017 Precept 35S
Removed outdoor TV back plate (double square bit needed).
This gave easy access to back of Kitchen wall.
Picked up a "pop up" power strip and installed into the counter.
Hardest part was getting the nerve up to drill a hole in the kitchen counter.
Now we have extra outlets and no more cords hanging from the bottom of the cabinets!

Did you tie the outlet to the load side of a GFCI receptacle? I did the same mod a few years ago and I tied it to the receptacle at the end of the kitchen counter which is GFCI protected on the kitchen circuit.

The power strip had a plug at the end. A true plug and play
I used the outlet for the outside TV that is located behind the outdoor TV backer plate.
The outlet is on the backside of the kitchen counter sink.

We retract the outlet when doing dishes to avoid any water splash.

FYI, the TV outlet is not GFCI protected.

PS, I'm an electrician.
