Ceiling exhaust fan operation.
How do you turn on the ceiling exhaust fan on Precept 31UL? I see a switch on the kitchen counter below the sink. Also there is a switch on the fan with a 0,1,2,3. Nothing I do with those switches makes the fan run. Any ideas?

Did you buy this new? If you didn’t it sounds like someone upgraded the fan and you don’t have the remote.

That's what I found after about a half-hour of searching for the solution, and then gave myself a proper dope slap!

Made sure the vent was open, still no luck. It’s a different fan than in the bathroom, but I do t see anything like a remote. Has a handle to crank up, then a knob for 0,1,2,3.

On my coach the power vent switch is on the side wall just below the microwave oven right next to an OH light switch. As previously mentioned the vent must be open. Then you adjust the fan speed with the knob labeled 0,1,2,3.

Another thing to do with those fans is to make sure the screw that attaches the knob to raise the vent is tight. Needed to open one quick (wasn't me cooking, and the dogs hate the smoke alarm), knob just spun around, took a few minutes to locate a screwdriver.

Ceiling fan
I’ve tried all your suggestions, thank you. Can’t get it to work. I called the manufacturer. Suggested I bypass the plunger switch for the hood to see if that’s bad, and also test the voltage to the fan. I’ll need to pull the fan apart to do this. We’ll see where that leads.

After much research, and disassembly many times, I’ve found my ceiling fan only works if the ceiling light Switch is turned on along with the fan switch. Something messed up with the wiring, but I’ve spent enough time on this for now.
