Dim Odometer/Info Readout

Precept 31 UL, but probably any F53 and maybe Class C: The digital readout (LED?) is dismal at best. Especially when the lights are on during the daytime, which is required with towing the Jeep and keeping its battery charged. Truly a danger to take eyes off the road long enough to try and make out any reading.

Has anyone come up with a remedy?

Do not have a motorhome but have you looked to see if your display has a dimmer switch.

It does, and it's turned all the way up.

Every once in a while I turn off the lights to see the range left but otherwise accept it’s dismal at best on our 17 Precept 35S. Also when wife asks outside temp.

Yes, but we shouldn't have to turn the lights off just to see the readout. There must be a fix for this...

The dimmer on my RAM truck rotates, and when it comes to a stop it has to be forced a little farther and it will then click. At that point the dash lights are brightest when the headlights are on.

Thanks, Bill - think I tried that before, but I'll try it next time I'm at the coach.

We also have this problem in 2019 Precept 34G. Maddening! I haven't found a solution, but would like one.

The only thing I can think of doing is to go into the instrument cluster and disable the dimming feature for the readout so it will receive full voltage, fulltime. Not sure how to accomplish that, though, and not void any warranty...

Still searching.
