Over the winter I installed the Summit Racing Thermal/Acoustic Hood Liner to the doghouse of my 2018 Alante 31V. A bit tricky to get the doghouse off and on but well worth the effort. Took our first spring trip for a week to the Grand Canyon and the insulation reduced the interior noise by 75% and temperature by 100%. I can now talk to my mate in a normal voice through all of the shift/RPM points. I just ordered more product to insulate the floor under the driver and passenger to further reduce road noise. I will also insulate the generator compartment. I highly recommend doing this.
Sounds like something that I might try. Any hints, tricks or pictures on what is involved in getting the doghouse off?
Use the search. This subject has been covered extensively and one post is a photo pictorial of how to do it and add the Dynamat sound and temperature mat.
Here are some pics of my doghouse removal from my Alante 31V. It's a bit of a challenge to get it off and on but well worth the effort to insulate it for sound and heat.
