LP Quick connect

Happy New Year everyone. One of my Christmas presents was a Blackstone 22" adventure grill. I finally got around to setting it up today and noticed it came with 2 regulators (1lb bottle one, and a standard 20lb tank one). When we bought our 2021 Alante 31V the previous owner left a few propane hoses in one of the compartments. When I asked the sales the person he said those were for connecting your grill to the quick connect LP that the RV comes with. After checking the hoses it looks like these simply connect to a 20lb standard tank. Okay here comes the propane questions:

1. is the tank on the Alante 31V already have a regulator that runs to the quick connect or do I need to still use the connections/regulators from my grill?
2. When I buy adapters to make the current hose work do the they need to be high pressure or low pressure?

Here are some pics of what I have:

Hi again Gord,
I also bought the same blackstone and love it
#1 yes. Your and (all i think) Motorhomes have a regulator attached directly after the on/off valve, way before the quick disconnect.
#2 ? Not positive, but i believe natural gas= high pressure, Propane=low pressure. Adapters and such are usually marked wether there rated for natural or propane.
Hope this helps

Thanks Pete really appreciate the response. I'll head to grill/propane place next week when they open up after the new year and let you know what I end up getting.

Love my Blackstone, a few ideas:
Buy a couple dozen tin foil 4x6 pans (Cheap ones) to collect the grease.
Get a level app for your cell phone, when you set up the grill, lay a paper towel on it and set your phone on it to check the level. Make it slope to the back for grease removal.
Buy one of the dome type covers to steam cook.

X2

Good tips!, we store the tins in cabinet next to steps/door, as wife passes food to cook, I grab one of those.

The brass connector with the two black retainer straps looks like an “Extend a Stay” valve. It allows you to connect a remote tank to power your unit without depleting your on board tank. Some Extend A Stays allow you to connect a remote grill to the valve but since the valve is before the regulator (regulator is under black plastic cover) you would need a regulator before your grill or other gas appliance if you connect to the Extend A Stay. If your connecting to a factory quick connect you don’t need a regulator.

I believe the hose you show in your picture is for a 1 pound cylinder not a 20 pounder hence the attached regulator. TasmanSS has shown you the correct type hose and adapter to use.

We have several quick connect hoses of different lengths. Depending on how far we set our grill or fire pit from the coach we can use one, two or all three hoses.
