North East, Mid Atlantic favorites

What are your favorite Campgrounds, destinations, activities in the North East/Mid Atlantic regions? We are looking to plan a week in April, starting at our NJ home (Near Philly). We have a 9 year old daughter to consider.
Thanks!

We're Thousand Trails members, and have really enjoyed TT sites in Hershey, PA, and Sea Pines near Cape May, NJ. Many people seem to like TT Circle M, near Lancaster, PA; however, we were not thrilled with it even though it's about 5 miles from our home. OTOH it's right in Pennsylvania Dutch country. All of them have lots of activities, and nice facilities.

Since your from that area, you may have been to these places. We were there 2 years ago and my favorite places were in NY. We stayed at a campground outside New York that had tour buses that took you to Manhattan. Saw lots but the best was ground Zero. Then, a short ride up the road was West Point. Nice big parking lot for RVs. You can tour for 1 hour or 2 hours. Good luck and travel well.

We have a couple of trips planned for the coming year, after we pick up our new Jay Feather 23RLSW. Maine in June, Asheville NC in Sept or Oct, most likely. Other trips may happen at any moment.

Probably going to drive past West Point on the Maine trip - it's right off I-84, IIRC. But we don't plan to stop. Thanks for the tips!
