Precept 34G: can headover bunk go down fully?

Entegra vision XL 34G which is the sister product of Jayco precept 34G:

When overhead bunk goes down, it touches the passenger seats, and can not go down fully. Does this happen for Jayco Precept 34G?

Matts review video for Entegra vision XL 34G:

at 11:20, you can see the problem.

Can any owner of Precept 34G 2021 verify this? thanks

That's where it stops on all of them, it's a bunk.

To lower the OH bunk completely you need to recline the seats and maybe even swivel them slightly. It’s not a big deal.

If it drop down while driving on road, it is very dangerous. It should have latch locks on all four corners.

There are two interlocks on my coach. In order to operate the OH bunk 3 things have to happen. First the seat belt style latch needs to be disconnected. Second the bunk key needs to be turned 90 degrees clockwise. Third the down arrow button needs to be depressed. It is highly unlikely that the bunk is going to drop down if all safety features are in place while driving down the road.

Only seat belt is physical, but all others are electrical which can fail without any warning.

Anything that is man made will eventually fail. Having said that, there are some things in our world that we learn to trust. We continue to fly even though planes crash, we continue to drive even though cars sometimes leave people stranded, we replace the step motor on our RV even though we know it won’t last forever, we continue to put our faith in people that sometimes let us down and the list goes on. If you continue to believe the sky is falling then it eventually will come crashing down on you.
Have you ever heard of anyone reporting that the OH bunk in their coach came down while driving? I personally have not. I own a coach that has the OH bunk and, yes, I have had to retighten a couple screws but I have never been in fear of driving down the road worrying about it falling. Do not purchase an RV if you are going to constantly worry about the next thing that may fail because you will never be satisfied.
Brightsky, your profile doesn’t indicate you own an RV so I’m not sure what your level of experience is. The members here welcome all comers and are here to share stories and help solve issues and we certainly hope you find whatever it is you are looking for. Good luck.
