Not really, two more batteries would be nice for times when we are camped in a shaded location and unable to completely recharge. But that is rare, even when we have shade we still get some charging in during the day. I think I have used my generator twice, both times we used more electricity than normal because we had family with us we had cloudy weather.
As far as installing the solar, I'm glad I used 6AWG welding cable from the roof to the controller. It left me plenty of capacity for adding the third panel.
The most important takeaway of the whole project is....put in an accurate shunt based battery monitor so you know where you stand energy wise at all times. Good luck with your project!
