CHF Questions

Good morning, hope all are safe out there....after reviewing some front end CHF videos I was wondering.....1)Is it better to unhook both sides rather than one side at a time? This would seem to make it easier to pivot the sway bar up to align the two pieces and eliminate the need for a jack. The jack, in my mind, is needed to overcome the down force of the other side if you are doing one side at a time. 2) I read or heard in a video that the torque setting for the sway bar/link bolts is 66 ft/lbs. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Hope this is clear
TIA

When I did the chf on our 2016 Alante I didn't need a jack and adjusted one side at a time. As for the torque spec, I didn't remember but I googled it.

Allen, thanks for your reply to my CHF question BUT when I align the link to the second bolt hole on the torsion bar I cannot get the bolt in as the leaf spring is in the way.
Did you have an issue with the leaf spring being in the way?

I did not and found the process to be easier than I expected. Possibly Jayco changed some things though between our model years.

Fortunately there was enough play in the link so that I could keep the bolt in the torsion bar far enough that it would miss the leaf spring and flex the link over the bolt (found this on another post).
Torqued everything to 65 ft/lbs an we are good to go.
Thanks!
