Nice clean installation! I would use some shrink tubing on the open ends of the insulation tubing so water doesn't collect in there.

Thank you. The insulation tubing is open at the bottom so the water will just go trough it, but I like your idea. I did spray all the terminals and cable ends with silicon to prevent corrosion.

It's a nice installation!
I have a suggestion- Mount the disconnect switch so that the handle points DOWN in normal operation. It might avoid an accidental shutdown.
Also, if the disconnect switch handle detaches when the switch is off (mine does), put a tether of some kind on it, so it doesn't get lost or grow legs.

Welcome to JOF
Battery bank installation looks great and will enhance boondocking trips.
Incorporating the battery supports over the top of the A-frame has it's advantages, especially not having to deal with re-locating the OEM wire bundle crossing over the existing support rails.

Looks nice. I would, otherwise it would drive me nuts, paint the battery box support beams black so they match the trailer frame. Just my .02.

Good installation Carlos, although I believe the cut-off switch should be on the positive leg.

I would just make sure you don't disconnect the battery when traveling or else your breakaway brake box won't operate.

So, Enlighten me here......How much/what are the advantages of the 2 batteries?.....other than Golf Cart Batteries last longer on a charge
Do you need to do anything different for charging them vs. a 12v?

Golf cart batteries are constructed internally for deep cycling use.
Using two 6 volt batteries is the equivalent of one really big 12 volt battery.
Nothing different is usually needed to charge them.

Nice setup. Great battery box and shutoff switch.
We upgraded to a pair of 6v's on our 26BH as soon as experience showed that the single 12v wasn't appropriate for overnights off the grid with the furnace running.
The only thing I would criticize about your setup is the metal support system. We went to a local welding shop and had them weld on a pair of angle irons for battery supports. The existing supports attached to the bottom of the tongue were lacking space, and appeared a little light for the new battery setup.
We had the welder use heavier angle iron, mounted on the top of the tongue. We did the primer and the shiny black paint, and the install now looks like it came from the factory, and is extremely robust. The charge from the welder was only $45.00 for the materials and labor, and they did it while we waited.
