Honeywell thermo & storm window(s) in screen door

Just finished with two mods: Honeywell digital programmable thermostat and Lexan / plexiglas windows in lieu of screen door.

The Honeywell was on sale @ Lowes for $24.95 and the glass was $14.95 each 28x30 sheets. I used one for the top and one for the bottom; however, I made a big mistake when trying to trim (used an electric saw and cracked the first one). So, I ended up buying three sheets. Total cost even with the screw up - under $75.00.

IMHO adding a digital thermo was one of the best mods there is.

Did mine with plexiglass. Score it with a razor knife and straight edge and free hand the corners. Be careful, one slip and you ruin it.

I used the lexan and bought the $4.00 tool to cut it. The tool is a little thicker than a razor knife. But, like mentioned above, that would work too.

I really like the looks of the door. That is a great idea.

Clutch, it was very easy to do. I used clear Velcro to attach it to the door frame. Come spring time I plan on leaving the bottom panel to keep my dog from tearing thru it.
