New RV without bathroom fan

Hey all,

I ride searching this but got mixed messages. I pickup my new 17 XFD on Friday, and when I scoped it out last week, I noticed that it didn't have a bathroom fan, just the opening and cover.

My question is, can I buy a fan and install it without having to take out the entire frame on the roof and reseal it? In other words, is the a system that I can install from the inside?

Found old threads that talk about replacing fans or installing new fans but complete swap with new sealing the roof. Nothing like what I'm looking to do.

Check out these options. Getting power to it will be your biggest challenge.

Thank you! From reading, it looks like I can grab 12V from nearby lights. Just need to fish them!

Are you SURE that it's doesn't come with one, and just wasn't installed.

I'm on my 11th RV, and everyone except the pop-up had a vent fan in the bathroom.

Check with the dealer... if it doesn't come with one, perhaps he'll give you one. When our dealer installed our MaxxAir vent fans, he just threw away the one that came with the camper... there was a pile of them on the floor, ready to go to the dumpster. There may be one laying around that he can give you!

Thanks! And yeah, I was surprised. I came home and logged on the Jayco site and it's doesn't list the fan as standard equipment. It lists as a bathroom vent. When I go there on Friday, I'll ask. The dealer is a few hours away so if they don't have one, it's one of those things, I'll do myself and bring her home. But I don't want to potentially damage a new roof to swap in a fantastic fan, etc.
