I have one... the only thing I suggest is to NOT get a black or other dark colored one.. it will radiate heat when the sun hits it.

Yes, the best. Never tempted to leave it out.

Yes. There seems to be differing opinions on whether to use them on power awnings like the Dometic 9100 we have on our new trailer.

We use one on our 9100 awning. No issues especially when used in conjunction with our awning poles.

You still have brackets? I have been waiting to see if Turbs has any new poles available. Or can you link to some that should work?
TIA

blujay, I still have brackets. I think 2 sets. Had buyers but nobody ever committed to the last few sets. I'll dig a little on "what works" on the poles. Been a while since I messed with them, but I do have some info somewhere on the painters poles.

After discussions with the fiancée and her concerns about drilling holes in our new 2017 trailer awning arms, I found another solution for awning poles (posted in another thread) and added a sunscreen.
After heeding Grumpy's suggestion about moving my poles to the roller instead of the arms and caving on getting a black sunscreen to match the color aesthetics of the trailer (also per the fiancée), I have my solution. If she complains about any heat buildup, it's on her!
Going to get another set of poles for the second awning but not sure about a sunscreen for that awning yet.

We have power awning which I like except for 2 things:
- On my model I'm unable to lower 1 side to let rain drain easier - that can be an issue
- and one time I lost power and the awning was a little out and I couldn't get it retracted until I fixed the power issue.
Other that that we like it and use it ALL the time.
