2000 ultra light floor

Hello all. I am almost a subfloor replacement due to a leaky water heater, compartment door, and exterior electrical outlet.

These floors are built with Liam on bottom, 1.5" aluminum frame and insulation, and then luan on top. What bothers me is that there is no aluminum framing other than the outside perimeter and a cross beam every 35". I am walking on styrofoam!!!!

I've put the floor back to factory but feel a substantial bounce. Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to make this better? Thank you.

Did you buy the same density foam blocks as the original? Did you glue the luan to the foam?

Im not sure about the foam density. I couldn't find what was originally used. It feels similar though.

I used glue everywhere possible. What type of glue would you recommend?

You need something that doesn't degrade the foam and probably something that will get rigid over time. I would call and talk to to the Factory Service Center to see what they use.
