Door closing

PIA closing door. Our 17' 23RLSW's door seems to need a two handed operation when shutting from inside, need to pull latch while grasping fixed part to pull shut. Is there an adjustment or something to allow just pulling on fixed part?

Sometimes it just takes a little WD-40 on the lock and striker plate.

Its easy to get a twist in the rv when setting up. When putting the stabilizers down it's important to keep checking how level the floor is. If say one back jack is lifting the floor higher than the other back jack, the RV will twist, which can easily cause doors to stick or not operate correctly. May want to check the floor in several spots.

Good Luck.

Check the striker plate. It was out of adjustment on mine and I moved it out to its maximum adjustment and we still have to slam the door for it too close. I need to file it.

X2 - had a similar issue on a prior trailer and a little WD-40 fixed it

We found on our 2018 Eagle Ht that if we close the door up to the latch and give it a pull it closes much better than trying to slam it.

We also found that if the stabilizers were uneven the door would be hard to shut. We bought an inexpensive drill with an adjustable clutch. Now, it will set the stabilizers with the same force and no more door problem.
