Heated water hose

Hello, I’m a newbie here,
I have a 2006 jayfeather 29N. Have a heated water hose hooked up but sometime during the previous day the breaker tripped. This morning go to run water and nothing happened, No Water. I flipped the breaker back on and is currently working. Does anyone know how long it will take to de-thaw the water lines? And should I be worried about split lines?
Thanks

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your new trailer.

Are your water lines frozen? Hard to tell from your title/post. If they are, well, you'll need either a heated space or warm spring to thaw them unless you put a space heater in there for a while.

Sounds like it wasn't drained prior to storage. If you can get the water to thaw, drain it all out. I'm guessing your water pump drew too many amps due to to the inability of the pump to turn.

There is not enough information in your post to give you a specific answer but I would consider taking the following actions. 1. Disconnect your hose and place it in the sun if possible. 2. Make sure your hose can drain so any water melting inside will flow out one end and "melt" ice along the way. 3. Try and move the hose to break up the ice inside, and then run the water through the hose. Finally, when my hose froze and I had to learn what to do, I placed it in the sun and it took about 2 -3 hours before it melted the ice inside.

I see this was posted yesterday. It wont take long for the lines to thaw. Question might be, are the CG water lines frozen?? If they are, could be awhile. Moving water will erode the ice quickly, so if you can open say the outside shower valves once you get a trickle of water, it will thaw out quicker.

You do not mention how cold it got last night, But if the inside of the TT, was warm all night, it should not take to long.

As for the heated hose, I would recommend connecting directly to the CG shore power post. Usually they are 20 amp rated, and the heated hose only uses a couple amps.

Two things I do in freezing weather.

I drain my water hose if it's not going to be used for a while...we use the water tank & pump in really cold weather.

When trying to coil up a cold hose that becomes impossible to coil, I connect it to my outside shower hose and run hot water through it until it's soft enough to coil it up.

Great,
Thank you. Yes the lines were frozen, we just made the move to full time RV living. I placed a space heater where the lines are and bingo. I’ve also replaced 20 amp breaker for the heater hose. No more issues and no leaks..
thank you

That’s great advice. Thanks, my hose is a heated hose so they tell me not to move the hose around to much as it may damage the hoses electrical elements within the hose.
But all is good now, issue solved and a lesson learned.

Got it, thanks. It got to 27 and the TT was warm I put a space heater where my pipes are. I had running water in under an hour.
Thank you
