Hitch came in on Thursday. I'm so glad I have a Ring doorbell. My brother's reaction when he went to pick it up was hilarious.
Installed the Andersen this weekend. It sure seemed to pull a lot smoother even before I really started cranking down on it get some some weight distribution going on. Still need to do more.
First I swung by the house (store it off site) and filled up the fresh water tank and hot water, so 299 lbs right there. Then hit the only public dump station (mini storage places with RV storage around here have dumps on site which is nice) for miles around. Luckily it's close by.
Then I hit the scales.
Need to go on a diet. She's at 3760lbs (scales only have 20 lb resolution so she could be ok). But that's without clothes and nothing in the fridge. Though I have a few tools that will ride in the truck (I'm guessing 50 pounds [Milwaukee 12V driver, Bosche 18V Drill and 18V impact, and a decent set of impact sockets, and a 250 ft lb torque wrench] and some extra parts that I'll clean out.
I'm getting 160 pounds out of 380 returned to the front axle. It was only 20 lbs my first run through (based on the three turns in the manual). First two turns (5 total) I added got me 100lbs then the second 2 turns (7 total) got another 60. I ran out of socket. I need to obtain a large wrench or drop a link or two.
I'm running dual GC2s (116lbs) so I might be upgrading to Lithium to drop some weight. Might as well be a boat. Time to Break Out Another Thousand.
And then I broke a key in the lock keeping the hitch pin in.
Good thing I work next door to the locksmith.
The front is about 2" lower than the rear. I think I could go up one hole and be within an inch of level. And that will help when I load up stuff in the truck. I think I'm getting maybe 2" of sag.
