I had a local RV hitch shop install my Anderson hitch and he set it up at an angle so that the bottom bolt touches the frame, not sure if that helps to prevent slippage, but mine hasn't slipped.

Hitch should be here tomorrow. I ordered the 3326. I measured 5.75" difference and it recommended the 8". I figure that will give me extra length if I ever get my quad running and take it somewhere.

And now to pick up a pipe tap to chase the threads for the water heater plug so I can correctly install said plug and not have it spray all over because of the insane amount of pipe dope. (Dealer lost the one that was originally in the heater.)

Sounds like Anderson is the way to go. Will it also work with the 24RL Jay Feather?

Yes sir. I'm running it on a similar sized 22BHM. Excellent hitch.

Andersen site says 14,000 lbs. I pull my 195rb with a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it has worked great for me.

Hitch came in on Thursday. I'm so glad I have a Ring doorbell. My brother's reaction when he went to pick it up was hilarious.

Installed the Andersen this weekend. It sure seemed to pull a lot smoother even before I really started cranking down on it get some some weight distribution going on. Still need to do more.

First I swung by the house (store it off site) and filled up the fresh water tank and hot water, so 299 lbs right there. Then hit the only public dump station (mini storage places with RV storage around here have dumps on site which is nice) for miles around. Luckily it's close by.

Then I hit the scales. Need to go on a diet. She's at 3760lbs (scales only have 20 lb resolution so she could be ok). But that's without clothes and nothing in the fridge. Though I have a few tools that will ride in the truck (I'm guessing 50 pounds [Milwaukee 12V driver, Bosche 18V Drill and 18V impact, and a decent set of impact sockets, and a 250 ft lb torque wrench] and some extra parts that I'll clean out.

I'm getting 160 pounds out of 380 returned to the front axle. It was only 20 lbs my first run through (based on the three turns in the manual). First two turns (5 total) I added got me 100lbs then the second 2 turns (7 total) got another 60. I ran out of socket. I need to obtain a large wrench or drop a link or two.

I'm running dual GC2s (116lbs) so I might be upgrading to Lithium to drop some weight. Might as well be a boat. Time to Break Out Another Thousand.

And then I broke a key in the lock keeping the hitch pin in. Good thing I work next door to the locksmith.

The front is about 2" lower than the rear. I think I could go up one hole and be within an inch of level. And that will help when I load up stuff in the truck. I think I'm getting maybe 2" of sag.

If I remember correctly, I took 2 full links off of mine to solve that issue.

My brackets slipped until I drilled pilot holes for the set screws and stabilized them. Then I have never had to use more than 3 to 4 turns. I did not scale my 195rb and Jeep but is level and drives smoothly. When it was not tightened enough I got that front end light feel.

I did drill an indent for the set screws (set the set screws then pulled them and used the "scar" as the point to start with). The brackets don't appear to have moved but I should check to make sure.

195RB Hitch coupler height

Can anyone give me a measurement on the 2021 Jayco SLX 195RB coupler height. Want to pre-order an Anderson WDH prior to receiving my trailer in a few weeks. The dealer can't give me a measurement.

Inside top of coupler was 25.75 for my Baja. Subtract 6 for non-Baja.

Thanks very much. I actually need the underside of the coupler, but I can work with that. I also need the frame height (vertical width) for bracket sizing. Anyone ?
Sorry for taking two posts to ask all this.

23.75 bottom lip of coupler (Baja)

I believe the frame is 4" but I'm not sure and mine is stored offsite.

For an Andersen the standard setup for brackets works just fine.
