Table during transit

I have a 2015 White Hawk with a booth/dinette that has a table that mounts to the floor with two posts. We take this down and put it up every time we travel. It is heavy and a real pain. Does anyone travel with this table set up or is there a good reason to take it down/up every time? Any alternatives?

My 2017 has over 10K travel miles on it now with the table in the upright position. It uses that same 2 post design.

I've pulled my trailer thousands of miles for the last 7 years and have always left it set up. Never had a problem with it coming out.

And, ours has the two post table, and it's never been lowered. We haven't moved it since we bought it.

We never take it down and it’s been almost 10k miles now on our 2016. I figured I would wear it out faster popping it in and out of the floor and table mounts opposed to just leaving it alone.

Did your sale rep tell you to take it down?

Had a sales/tech rep tell me on a 5r once. You have to put transit braces up on the sliders. Funny though, the service department never puts them up after completing the repairs. And the dealer says it's good to hookup and go..

We just purchased a Jay Feather 22RB 2020 model year and when we saw them at the dealer the ones we saw had a cantilever design that just push a pin and they folded down, well seems that was changed on it and the new ones have a leg that fits into a slot on the front of the cabinet beneath the U shaped dinette and then into the table. That being said we take ours down as it seems like a ton of pressure on the cabinet front. Our previous units all had the posts or post on them and never took it down.

Sales rep said if we left it up it would eventually loosen the floor sockets.

That is probably sound advice. We know these things aren't built super durable. Floors are pretty thin material (not sure if they use a backer or not for the tables?). Even if it doesn't fall out, every jolt is one more cycle on the fastener/wood mating. On our 175 the two post is pretty easy to set up/tear down. The table is fairly light as well.

If you can get to the underside of your TT where the table screws in you could put a 3/4 ply backer on that and use longer bolts. Then you'd never need to worry.
