Upgrading a/c on Swift SLX 184 BH?

I've noticed a few questions on here regarding efficiency of the side mount a/c on the 154/184.

We live in Tx and have found it lacking. Looking to upgrade. Our service dept advised some customers have replaced their units with units from Home Depot.

Anyone with experience doing this?

Shouldn't be a problem as long as the dimensions will fit into the cutout. May need additional bracing for the inside front though. Not a lot of room to play w/there.
The 184BH A/C puts out 5000 BTUs. That's pretty much at the low end of window A/Cs. I was looking at some at
SAM's Club this past wk-end. The highest window type they had was 8500 BTUs. That should work fine. Problem is how
our air is pushed out to the side instead of length of trailer.

Specs on the Danby unit according to their website. Pretty small. Haven't found anything on Home Depot's website that's even close to the same size.
