24RBS Slide Motor & Area Pics

I wanted to confirm that in-fact the slide motor was located behind the underbelly access panel, and thought the pics would be good for future reference. I also took additional pics of the surrounding area within the underbelly as seen from the slide motor location.

Bob, do you have to drop that panel for manual slide operation? I know mine has an access hole in the frame that you put the wrench in to turn it from the side of the trailer of necessary.

There isn't a "thru-the-frame" access to the hex motor drive link like on some units, so the panel has to be removed.

Hopefully you will never need it, I never did on my Jayco. ☺

Where can I buy that underbelly material and how many sheets will I need to enclose mine?

The material is referred to as 'coroplast', a corrugated plastic and can be purchased in rolls or 4' x 8' sheets. Some RV dealerships sell the material in rolls, and/or may know a supplier source.

I also heard that sign/supply companies carry coroplast for making signs, might be another source for material purchase.

Bob,
Thanks for sharing. My understanding is that you just put a racket on the hex shaft and turn. You don't have to disconnect electrical power or disengage any clutch system?

Correct...., but confirm that 12v power isn't at the motor and can't get to the motor (disconnect battery, etc.). Also insure that your manually turning the motor shaft in the proper direction to avoid damaging the slide motor drive (clockwise to close slide, counter clockwise to open).
