Unhappy Battery connection

Want to get some clarification from the group on parallel battery wiring.
Got a brand new 2024 29RLC fifth wheel and it has two identical 12v AGM Continental batteries. The Positive and Negative connections from the RV connect to the first battery, and then both batteries are connected together (pos to pos, neg to neg). Is this correct for parallel and ok to run like this? Quickly researching is saying the connections from the RV should not be going to the same battery for parallel.
Thanks for any inputs...

I'm not sure if it makes any difference but I don't connect the positive and negative wires coming from the trailer to the same battery. I attach the positive to one of yhe batteries and the negative to the other. In my thinking this ensures the current path is through both batteries, not just one. Beyond that everything sounds correct.

The resistance of the short parallel cables is so small in comparison to the natural manufacturing differences in battery impedance that any imbalance is insignificant.

It’s ok either way. Some knit picker may come up with their opinion that it must be one way, but it will work just fine both on one or one on each.
Best wishes, Kevin

Thanks to all! Left it as is for now and it is working just fine. Using a battery tender to keep them charged up and multimeter shows same voltage on both.

If you have 15 amp to whatever your RV is dog one connector, you can plug in the whole RV and your batteries will be charged by the converter. Same number of electrical connections, you can use some 120 volt functions in your RV, and charge the battery, all at once.

Good stuff, Kevin! Honestly, I'm being a bit cautious right now as I am in a new storage facility and the RV is outdoors. I'd hate to show up fully loaded with the family only to find the 50 amp cord is missing! That said...I am getting close to that comfort level as I have noticed others nearby me that are doing just that... Thanks again!
