Hot Water

I know this is a beginner question (especially when asked by someone with senior member by their name) but we've only used our hot water once since we got the trailer and I've forgotten. We have an Atwood 6 gallon tank- how long should the water take to heat when the ambient temp is 70 to 80 degrees? Thanks

My water heats to hot in about 45 minutes on electric and about 30 minutes on gas...

Thanks. I was doing a little test a while ago and I just didn't heat it long enough.

70 to 80 degrees? Just put a bucket outside. Would be faster.
