having issues with battery going dead hooked to shore power. Also Tried charging
battery with generator & wouldn't charge. Is there a fuse blown or something
wrong with converter?

With two separate charging sources and no charge, I suspect the battery won't take a charge. You can get the battery tested at almost any autoparts store for no charge.

Edit: If you or a friend has a multimeter, it's a simple test to check the charging voltage from the converter.

Also, there are some good guides to RV electric that have been posted on this forum. The "search" feature will take you to them.

Inadeau; Are you using the generator through your shore power cord?
If so, then you're attempting to charge the battery the same way both times, and that involves your convertor being hooked to the 120VAC system.

As Onthego suggested, check your battery voltage, at the battery, with a voltmeter, with no external power source being plugged into the camper, then check again with the shore power plugged in. If the voltage at the battery doesn't change, then there's a problem with the convertor. (Use a voltmeter, don't rely on the monitor panel in the camper.) Either the convertor is not getting 120V, or it's not outputting DC power.

This could be a tripped 120AC breaker, blown fuse on the DC side, or worse, a dead convertor.

If the voltage does increase to about 13.8-14.5, then that suggests you have a bad battery that isn't accepting a charge. It's then time to remove the battery and take it to a local shop for charge and load testing.

Welcome from Northern California! My rule when it come to electrical issues is always check the simple things first. Is the battery water at the correct level? Is the ground cable clean & tight? Like stated above the multi-meter ( volt meter ) is your friend. Good luck! I hope this is just a simple issue.
