Inop. Water pump

Preparing for weekend trip without water hookups, filled tank switched to dry camp and turned on water pump. Nothing is happening I have moved switches back and forth on uni dock but no water pump and no water flow. Any ideas?

Is your water heater full?

No its not. I assumed it's not filling sue to uni dock valve issue and or water pump inop.

If you can hear the water pump running it will take a few minutes to fill the water heater as Grumpy asked. As the water heater is filling you should have the tap closest to the water heater open on the hot side to purge air from the heater as it fills. The faucet you have open should start to spit water and when the heater is full you will get a steady stream from the faucet. Only then should you fire up the water heater.

If you can't hear the pump running after you turn it on you have to start there. Locate the pump and you might check to see if it has voltage running to it with a multimeter. Also check the fuse in the panel, it should be labeled.

Fyi. I think the problem was a loose positive wire connection at the battery. Found it by chance when I noticed one of the batteries had slipped in its tray. I moved it back and positive cable came right out of connector at terminal! Pump works now! I assume higher startup amperage vs. Lights etc. was the reason? !
