Thanks again, LD, I guess it is strangely comforting to know your luck isn't infinite. ;-) I would be happy if my audio problems were nothing more than outside speakers not working.

On a positive note, I'm way more educated now on the mysterious nature of antennas and how they work, per https://www.explainthatstuff.com/antennas.html. Will probably try connecting a big bunch of looped-up speaker wire to the unused blue antenna wire to rule out that particular possible miracle cure, just for the heckuvit. Am still a bit cocky about figuring out and fixing my "fridge won't relight on gas at altitude" problem a couple years ago (whole 'nother thread on here) after dealer couldn't figure it out, so I have at least some delusions of being able to stumble onto resolutions of problems . . .

Jay flight SLX 212qb with IRV-29

When my IRV-29 is on AUX-In, there is a constant noise and a high pitched beep sound coming from the speakers. It doesn’t do it on Bluetooth or radio.

HDMI not working

The HDMI input on my iRV-29 is not working. I am using an HDMI arc output on my TV, but still no sound or communication between the TV and radio.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Yup!

Pull the radio out of the cabinet.

Pull the fuse on the back of the unit. This will reset it.

Put the fuse back in and reinstall.

It’s like a ghost in the machine- it gets mixed in the firmware.

This worked for me!

Might want to try the reset button first. Way quicker and easier than pulling the unit. See earlier post.

Any tips on how to pull the radio out to get to the fuse? I do not see any screws and do not want to break anything.

When the tech at my RV dealer replaced mine under warranty, he slid a tool in on the side of it. It looks like a key. It releases it from the outer case. These came with the new model.

Ok, I’ve got the radio out and pulled the fuse. Put it back in, and still nothing ☹️.

Sounds like it’s DOA. Reset button didn’t work?

No reset button that I can see. Looks like I will be making a phone call to the dealership. We have the full extended warranty with Jayco, any idea if the radio is covered?

It’s here. Small hole. Mine was covered under warranty.
