Ryobi 2300W Inverter Generator for 174BH?

Will this Generator be able to handle the load of the 174BH?

My large concern is the AC. ALTHOUGH it is not a big roof mounted AC it’s the side mounted 8,000 BTU that gets mounted above the queen.

Yes, that genny will power your window ac unit. An 8000 btu AC pulls between 5.8 and 8.7 amps.

That genny can provide a continuous of supply of a max of 15 amps, (1800 watts /120v = 15 amps), with an surge capacity of 19 amps.

I have a Westinghouse iGen2500 (2500 peak watts, 2200 running watts) and I can run the wall mounted AC all day long in my 145RB with no issues. It recently came in handy when we lost power at home. I ran the TT on the gen and turned on the AC until the power company got the power restored.

I can't use the AC and the microwave at the same time while running the gen. Not a big deal for me.

Awesome. Thanks!

Just confused because it’s a 30amp plug. The Genny says 20amp.

With an inverter generator with Sine wave do I need my Surge protector when connected?

More awesome news. I’m preparing for hunting season so tomorrow I’ll fire it all up and give it a go.

I just plug my cord(with the 30amp adapter) into the generator huh?

Test it out in your driveway first. That's what I did. I wanted to make sure the gen could handle the load before I took it out on a trip.

I only use my surge protector at campgrounds, not on the gen or plugged into my garage.

I’ll test it tomorrow.

Planned on using the surge protector at campgrounds good to know it isn’t required when plugged into my garage.
