Tell us about what you have (tow vehicle, RV) and what hitch / sway control your currently running. What are you experiencing?

+1

Most weight distributing hitch systems with integrated sway control make noise at some point, and it's not necessarily an indication the system is having "problems". Though there are various different ways to quiet down various systems.

It's important to know what system(s) you're dealing with to know how to help.

Talking

Not bad gout and DVT same leg. Good meds! Can walk now. First trip outside to my Jayco.
The hitch is a Husky and the friction anti sway is the Pro Husky.
Do I have it too tight?

I had the Huskey Round Bar and dual anti sway bars. I greased the ball, and used their grease inserts to grease the bars themselves. Any time I turned it made popping and grinding sounds.
2 things made me switch, the sound you describe and it’s weight.
May look into a Andersen WDH, just a thought

The noise is loud. I always loosen the handle when in the campground.
It works fine but the screeching and popping is too much.

Couple questions:

* What is the weight rating(s) of your Husky WDH?

* What year/model TV do you tow with?

* What year/model Jayco do you have?

As mentioned, most WDH's will make a 'little' noise under certain conditions. Also, always refer to your specific WDH documentation for lubrication requirements.

Yes, poor WDH adjustment can contribute to a loud WDH, and the best way to dial-in the adjustment of any WDH is a visit to your local CAT Scale under "loaded" conditions (typical ready-to-camp). The CAT scale will confirm all TV/TT weights and WDH sizing/adjustments.

It's always good to know that you're dealing with a properly match TV/TT combination and WDH....., greatly helps in diagnosing issues.

CAT Scale how-to: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...v-tt-3871.html
