Blue OX Sway Pro spring bars?
I have the Blue Ox Sway Pro with 1000# spring bars. My tongue weight is normally 900# to 950#. However, I've added another battery on the tongue so the tongue weight will be a little higher now.
However, my trip out to Monument Valley and Yellowstone, etc. will include a number of days of boondocking until I get to my first campground that has water. Therefore, I'm going to be carrying nearly full (84 gallons) freshwater tanks. Later in the trip, this will drop to what I normally carry 1/3 to 1/2 full tanks and I'll be just under the 1000# bars.
Since the next step in spring bars is 1500#. I'd rather not go to either the expense or the stiffer ride if I can help it.
So, can I get by with my current 1000# bars for the relatively short time I'll be a hundred pounds, more or less, over the 1000# limit of my current springs?

IMO temporarily being 100lbs over the WDH's 1,000lb rating shouldn't be an issue....., assuming the loaded TV/TT combination's WDH was initially adjusted correctly for a 1,000lb loaded tongue weight.
A 200lbs plus (above spring bar rating) may compromise the WDH's ability to "maintain" proper weight distribution at the TV's front suspension....., especially with a softer TV suspension (i.e.; 1/2 ton compared to a 3/4 ton). Unwanted "porpoising" could become more evident......, but every TV/TT combination reacts differently.
My 24RBS has approx. a 1,100lb loaded tongue weight and I use 1,500lb rated spring bars (Reese Dual Cam). I don't notice a stiffer ride with my TV/TT combination, but I have a 3/4 ton TV.

Oh I can help with this!
Having the 1000lbs bars on my blue ox I towed a trailer with a scaled tongue weight of 1440lbs- it was a loaded car hauler full of tools in the front and a fuel tank loaded forward and a little mustang in it. I noticed very little if any difference in the feel. That *may* be due to the stout rear coils in the 2500, but either way, it worked out fine for the one-off time I did it.
If it was going to be a regular thing- upgrade the bars. If not, I wouldn't sweat it over a hundred or so pounds.

Good news. I just reviewed my trip from home to Monument Valley, UT. I will not need to leave home with full water tanks after all. Not quite 1/2 way there, I will be staying at a CG at Dyess, AR. At most, I'll only need 1/2 full tanks. So I shouldn't over load the springs at any point.
Thanks for all the replies. I'll bear that info in mind should the necessity arise in the future.
