Brake controls

Just got back from a two week trip with our 24FBS. I found the brake control never seemed to be set quite right. Its an old Tekonsha I think it was a Voyager. Just wondering if the newer Digital controls are better and which one. And is there something wrong with mine

1st, go back through the adjustment procedure on the Voyager if you haven't already. I have 2 Tekonsha Voyager controllers in 2 different trucks. One of those controllers is well over 15 years old and has hundreds of thousands of miles on it. They are generally a very reliable controller. But anything is possible. Also be sure to check all of your connections for loose wires, grounds, etc.

As far as the new controllers are concerned, I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 in my van. Great little controller. Works well and highly recommend across the rv world.

I had a Prodigy P2 in my first TV and was very happy with it, and in fact like it better than the factory controller I have now.

As Midnightmoon suggests, go back through your adjustment procedures and check all connections.

One other thought. When my controller (Prodigy) is set just right I don't notice it working at all. Truck and trailer stop as one.
