Help me see the light

Getting 2009 Jayco Greyhawk 31ss ready to tow my 2012 Fiat 500. Bought a Cal Hawk Tools CZ TLT7 Trailer Light Tester to test the hook-up on my RV.

Started the engine and plugged tester in to the 7 pin connector. The only thing I could register was the 12 volt signal. Turn on turn signal no register, put on brake no register, running lights no register. What am I doing wrong?

TIA

It’s possible you got a bad one. Grab a test light and find a place to obtain a good ground. Then just test each blade with the probe of the TL.

Being 10 years old, perhaps some corroded terminals in the socket, or bad wires going to it. Flip open the cover and look inside for green terminals, first. Maybe it was used a lot, and some are worn out?

Thanks for the responses. Testing again with a circuit tester. 12 volt ok, ground ok, running lights ok, could not get response from left or right turn signal. Took some CRC Contact cleaner to the probes. Tried again, no success.

Opened up connector to check where connected to connector. Clean as the day it was installed. Checked where wires connect for left and right turn, no voltage. Signals worked on the motor home.

Can someone tell me where the other end of the harness is? Think there is something wrong on that end.

Thanks in advance.
