Here is a couple pics showing the difference between the tin can factory hitch off our '10 Chevy 1500 and the Curt I replaced it with. The factory round tube hitch was actually "winding up"/twisting when latching up the wd bars. No issues with the Curt.
When setting the factory hitch down on the cement, it sounded just like a tin can. Setting the Curt down resulted in a dull thud. Weight was maybe 20lbs or so vs I think the Curt was almost 70lbs...
