If you change tire ratings, make sure your wheels can handle the PSI of a higher load tire. I went thru this a few years ago. The Endurance tires aren't made in all load ranges in certain sizes...if you have a load range C and Goodyear only makes that size in a range D, check your wheels.

I echo “don’t cheap out”. $450 for a quality set of tires sounds good to me. I spent almost that much per tire a few years back (G’year G614’s, an LT Tire). The Endurance had just appeared and had no track record so I bought the 614’s which have received good reviews. A few years of user experiences and the Endurance is getting great reviews.
I was sitting on the roadside with my 2nd blowout in 70 miles deciding that I’d buy about anything at any price if I could depend on it. The 614 seemed the best thing at the time and I don’t regret my decision.
A year or so later we were planning a trip of about 6 weeks and covering about 6500 miles. My spare was one of questionable origins. I bought an Endurance for the trip.
The next set of tires will likely be the Endurance.

I am starting my 4th season with the Endurance tires and have no complaints, well worth the money, and nice to support workers in Alabama making these tires.

Overall quality, price, and speed rating =Endurance. You will forget about the small difference in price because you will forget about whether or not your tires are up to the task on any given trip. Had Raineers from dealership home. I installed Endurance's in spring of 17' they have 14000 miles on them and will probably age out before they wear out!

My 2 cents

I bought 4 Endurance tires to run a non scientific review. Load range E vs Sailun 14 ply load range G Triple axle heavy Seismic toyhauler.
The Endurance tires never blew out but wore badly. Just ordered 4 more Sailuns

So far Endurance all the way. A few bucks isn't much for added quality.
36,000 miles on trailer, about 30,000 on Endurance.
I have a 3,500 GVW trailer with 4,800 pound springs. The matching 215/14 weight and speed rating gives me a lot of confidence.

Go with the Endurance

We ran on the factory tires for the first year of owning our trailer, we bought it used in July 2017, and it appeared to have the original tires with good tread. Did about 12k miles on them. In November 2018 we decided, just based on time and the tires sitting here in the AZ heat, to replace them. We did our research and ended up with 5 of the Goodyear Endurance from Discount. $127 p/tire. Very happy with the purchase and the little extra peace of mind.

I think the Marathon (foreign made) are no longer available. Endurance are made in the USA and have a higher speed rating.

I couldn't agree more. There are msny things you can find "deals" on but tires are not one of them. IMHO

Those are the old discontinued Marathon. Need to pay attention to the details.

You are happy with the local dealer. Reasonable price. Why not support a company that supports local workers and pays local taxes?

Stick with Goodyear

Had mine for two years and no issues. Good quality tire. They are worth the price. Plus if have had good service from the guy, that’s key too.

I agree Lucky Duck, made a trip out west last Sep putting about 5K miles on our 2019 212QB, tires still look new and only had to add air at the 3000 mile mark and very little at that. Had a leak that dripped out of the bathroom LED fixture so up on the roof with some Dicor and I found one small spot by the skylight that I filled. I then decided to go ahead and run a bead around everything else that protrudes through the roof. I also found that the AC unit was a bit too loose so snugged up the four bolts. I had read here in the forum that if you tighten them too much the gasket will be compromised. Getting ready to make our next trip at the end of June up into the Andirondacks and then over through Vermont and up to the NE coast of Maine.

My camper came with the Endurance (Factory Upgrade) They have about 10K miles on them and look new. I had a set of Good Year Marathon's on my old Super Lite. They looked new after 4 years , but when I took them off 2 of them were separated on the inside. I was running on borrowed time. Took them off just in time. The Marathon was not made in the USA.
