Tow tips for noob’s maiden voyage?

We’re about to take our new SLX212 on its first extended trip. I’ve towed it on flats near home, but we are headed over to the Coast — 3 hours over some hilly terrain. Our TV is a 1999 F250 7.3L PSD that PO used to tow an Airstream everywhere. Just 93k miles and perfectly maintained. I’m a little nervous about this first “voyage” esp on the hills... any words of wisdom? Thanks for a great forum!

Seems like a lot of truck for that trailer, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Do you have a weight distribution hitch? Sway control? If all that stuff is on and set up correctly, you probably won't even notice the trailer. Make sure your tires are inflated properly too (truck and trailer) and your trailer brake control works properly.

But then a lot of truck can make people a bit more "gutsy". Just keep your speed reasonable for the conditions (your trailer tires are probably only rated to 65 mph), give yourself plenty of space, take your time and relax and enjoy the ride.

Yes, got an Andersen WDH when we bought the trailer and just put new Michelin Defender LTX (E-rated) on. I plan on checking coach tire psi before taking off. Thanks!
