Towing a Jeep with custom bumper

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler 4-door. I have an aftermarket bumper that made it difficult at best to install a Blue Ox plate. So I decided to use a tow dolly. Front wheels up. Well, after some research I found out that's a bad idea. So I bought a Harbor Freight tow bar and had a local show fabricate some ends that would attach to the tabs that were already part of the bumper. Took it out over the weekend and it worked like a champ. I used the magnetic lights for now. I plan on permanently installing the bulbs inside the Jeep's tail lights. I didn't have any braking or sway issues and lots of people gave good reviews of the Harbor Freight tow bar. All in all I wish I'd done this sooner. Now I will sell the dolly and that will more than pay for the tow bar setup. Here are some pics.

It seems to be a good solution for you. Are you towing behind a motor home or a trailer?

I have a 2015 Melbourne 29D. Same setup pulling a Jeep Wangler 4 door. I am experiencing terrible rear end sway making steering a little dicey when on the highway at 65 MPH. I thought it may because of the long overhang off the rear of the motor home. Does anybody have a suggestion?

I really don't have a clue. Mine hasn't had an issue. It's all about geometry. What tow set-up do you have?
