I need your input. I have a ProPride, a few years ago the bearings worn out and needed replacement but I couldn’t get the parts in time as I was in Canada, so I bought another hitch for the time being, that said the stinger got stolen. So now I have a ProPride hitch assembly without the stinger and bearings to be replaced and all parts can still be replaced, since then I sold the trailer and now have a motorhome and no longer need the ProPride. Any idea how much is could I sell this for?
Thanks
Stinger by itself is $515 on their website. I bought a used Hensley complete for $500 once upon a time. My last camper came with one on it and I've used it for 5 years now, moved it to my new one last year. Replaced the bearings in it a few years ago. Not a hard job if you're at all handy. That being said I'd guess $200 to $300ish but finding the right guy may take a while.
I would suggest it will not sell at all. Not to be a downer. I cleaned out my shop a few years back and had quite a few high dollar items that were missing parts and needed repair and sad to say there is no market for anything missing parts and needing repair.
Perhaps I would list it on Ebay for parts as it is possible that someone needs some of the parts, otherwise I would either obtain the parts and repair it for future use or sell it at that point or sell it for scrap. ~CA
I would think you would get more for it. Are we talking Propride anti sway? The same guy that invented the Hensley Hitch? I purchased my Hensley used for $1200 and ended up buying the warranty the covers stinger exchanges. (-shipping) Put it on Facebook and look for a ProPride hitch group on there and you might be surprised.
