Wipers

Anyone have a replacement wiper blade that will last more than a few weeks. I have had no luck with aftermarket wiper blades.

I've used Rain-X brand wipers on my trucks for the last 20 years or so. Love them.

NAPA Exact Fit blades are junk. I just had another one come apart on my way to work this morning. I just put them on before Christmas.

I just installed a pair of Michelin High Performance Wiper Blades from W*mart on our TV. They're not the cheapest but far from expensive; IIRC ~$8ea.

Here in AZ the sun eats them. I replace them twice and year, but in reality they've been used very little.

Same here in Far N. California. I have been getting the basic Motorcraft blades. Whether cheap or expensive, they disintegrate after 70 or 80 days over 100* and need to be replaced after only using them to wipe off the wiper fluid.

You might give Bosch Icons a try or PIAA. I've had success with both. Wipe the blades down periodically with 303 protectant and they'll last much longer.

My tv in my sig still has the factory ones on it. The wife's 09 G6 has 97k on it and I replaced the factory ones like 4 years ago with Bosch Ion I-beam style blades and they are still going strong.

I will say, I use Rain X on our windshields quite regularly, so our wipers dont get used a whole lot.

I used Michelin blades and had poor luck with them. Switched to Rain X (the better ones) and have had great luck with them, in both the extreme heat here in Az and in the rain in Colorado. Typically last a couple of years.

Rain-X Latitude

I have had good luck with Rain-X Latitude from Amazon or Wal-Mart for the past 20 years. Matter of fact I need to change the out on my TV now.

Thanks! I might give Rain-X blades a try for our next monsoon season. I've been a fan of Rain-X washer fluid etc. for years.

I'm trying the RainX blades on my truck and my wife's Buick Encore. Haven't driven the truck much lately so I can't comment on that yet. They've been fine on the Encore, but we haven't had either set for much more than a month, so no long term verdict.

Educate on the 303, not sure I've seen this.
I've used rain-x, Michelin, & some cheap Walmart blades and none lasted as long as the oem but my Chevy dealer wants the deed to my house for them.

I’ve used the Bosch icons in the past with good luck. In the last couple years I’ve been buying the Motorcraft standard wiper blades. Matter fact, I just bought a set yesterday for $37. I bought the standard because the premiums, believe it or not, are less expensive than the standard blades. I’ve used the Bosch icons in the past with good luck. I'm currently using the PIAA Silicone wipers and i'm very happy with them. I would say they like to bounce across the windshield if there's not enough rain on the glass for the speed setting they're set on, but they've been great the last year and a half or so. That said, when it's time to replace, i'll likely go back to the Bosch Icons.

I’ve also had good luck with Bosch Icon blades. Get used a lot here in eastern Iowa.
