2017 x23f front bunk window material

Question please. All my windows that unzip have the material feel on the inside and the vinyl on the outside. Except the front bunk left and right windows. Is this a mistake from the factory? I can't imagine it would be that way.

I cut out a window using a piece of Lexan and about 6” of Velcro at the top to hold it in place. When you unzip the back flap you’ll like a pocket that it sits in. It’s open almost all the time rain or shine as it performs almost just like a window. Dam sideways pictures.

Yes, all fabric on the side window panels on ours as well. Two reasons that I can think of, The side windows don't seem to get as much weather as the ends, and they are probably a bit more breathable, cutting down on condensation from body heat and breath.

Thanks for the response. Makes since for the reason of being breathable. It just threw me off because my side bunk is not like that. They do let more light in but I would guess more heat or cold as well. Called Jayco and they have no clue. They put in a ticket to find out and call me back , nothing yet. Seems like the material would be more susceptible to dirt, mold etc. by not having the canvas on the outside.

We've had two Jayco hybrids. They were both the same way. The only times we've even seen water on those panels in in really heavy downpours. Even then they aren't soaked.

Jayco must have realized this at some point and decided not put the more expensive vinyl covered canvas on those panels.
