Jay Feather X17Z black water hose
Hi,
Just took delivery of our new hybrid and I'm trying to find a black water hose that fits into the camper's built-in hose container. Anyone know of one, or know which hoses have detachable ends. My research has proven confusing!
TIA
LChapman

Hi and welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Jay Feather X17Z.
I'm not familiar with your trailer, but do you mean the sewer hose storage inside of the rear bumper? That's the storage many/most trailers have.

My X17C has a storage tube just above the power cord compartment. A standard hose with a 45 degree fitting will fit and allow the door to close. Like this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Camco-C-D...apter/29764318
I leave the exit end of the hose without a fitting since most of my trips are to a COE park with a dump station on the way out (no sewer hookups at each site).

That's the same bumper our X20E has. A standard drain hose fits just fine.

The x17z has a flat bumper, it has a separate storage compartment for the waste hose. A standard 10ft hose with a connector will fit in this space. I wanted to also carry a longer hose so I installed a separate Valterra tube/carrier. The hose attachments (elbows, etc) seem to always be the issue as they tend to not fit in the tube.

I have a 2013 x17z and made a new storage tube to fit on the bumper that way I could use a 20 foot hose.

Ah yes, our Kiwi 17a had that silly tube built into the trailer.

I have an x17z, and I know what he's talking about. The fittings on most hoses are too wide to fit into that stupid little hole. I couldn't find one to fit it either. I store mine in the storage compartment.

I bought the rhino flex tube because its the best on the market. It unfortunately did not fit in that silly spot built into my trailer. So i store other things in there and i bought a 4x4 square pvc fence post cover. Bolted it to the bumper and called it a day.

I, too, am a NTU Jayco X17Z owner and can't fit the hose! How exactly dod you bolt the PVC fence cover to the bumper? We're going camping this weekend (first time emptying the tanks...wish me luck!) and I will bring a storage tub for this trip but I'd really rather keep the nasty thing away from the things we use all the time! TIA for any and all help!!

This hose from Camco fits in sewer hose compartment on the x17z. You just have to unscrew the “4 in 1” adaptor (the grey tapered piece attached to the elbow).

It’s not the best hose, but it fits.
