Tent trim screw

Hello everybody, I just picked up a brand new 2018 X17Z about a month ago. Today when I was winterizing it and putting the cover on I noticed the front tent end upper black trim was missing a screw and slightly pulled away from the body. What size screw can I purchase to rapid this issue? I appreciate any help, thank you

I attached a photo for reference.

Perhaps take out another one and measure. I would caulk that area that seems to be open.

Wouldn't that fall under the warranty? I'd take it to the dealer and have them repair it. Until then, I'd put some caulk on it to keep out the weather.

Are you sure that it's missing or could it have been broken off when installed. They've been known for broken screws in the past so check that hole very carefully.

More than Likely it is covered under warranty. The reason I would like to repair it myself is that the dealer is 4 hrs away. I figured if it’s a screw and some caulk it should be easy. I will check the hole to ensure the screw is not broken off inside, that would suck!

Agreed, it seems like a straight forward repair and considering the cost of hauling and picking up at the dealer, I would attempt the repair myself not to mention the dealer will probably keep it for 2 weeks for a 1 hour repair job.

X2, make sure to caulk the area, OSI Quad is your friend, a very stick friend.

Water is your #1 arch enemy when it comes to campers.

It would be covered under warranty, but it is way to much work to bring it in for something as small as this.

I had to repair/replace 5 of the same screws on my 2018 X17z
I used #8 1inch self tapping screws. I also used black automotive touch up paint to color the heads so they matched the rest.

seems like these trailers are just getting slapped together
