TV mount

I purchased a used 2016 X17Z, and the previous owner kept the TV. Any suggestions on a TV and mount for this?

We replaced the 50” tv with a 43” that is on a lift so that we could see out the window when the tv is in the up position. We attached an articulating arm to the lift in order to move the tv forward to the front of the fireplace below, allowing the person on the couch to see it better as well as turning the tv any direction required for a better view. It is a Kanto mount from Costco. It bolted on to the lift without having to drill any holes. There were lots of fasteners supplied by Kanto for various mounting scenarios. It doesn’t seem like much more of the window is showing but at least you can see something. Jayco removed the window from the kitchen.

Congratulations on the new hybrid.

I have the same mount in my 2013 x17z that I bought used and the prior owner also kept the tv. I bought this https://www.amazon.com/SuperSonic-10.../dp/B0082ULKUE and it works great. It is 12 volt so it works with no hookups. It bolts right to your mount.

I have pictures in my registry https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...17z-52512.html

Happy camping!

Perfect, thanks! For some reason, your gallery isn't opening though.

I think I'm missing a part. Bought the TV, and the holes are not lining up. Tried calling Jayco direct, and they are no help. I'm at a loss.

I'm not judging anyone for wanting a TV in their camper, but with an X17Z, why mount it? We rarely bring a TV along on trips, but when we do, I just sit it up there on top of the fridge. When traveling, I unplug it, put it on the dinette, and put a few pillows on top. If you have a mount and you decide you don't need to bring the TV, then the mount is just taking up valuable space. And, we X17Z owners know well how little space is available in these rigs.

If it were me, I'd take the mount out.

I love the convenience of the mount. One less thing to set-up/take down and connect/disconnect and no worry about damage while travelling. It is secure and swivels for easy viewing and locks in place for travel. With the swivel, I use the area behind the TV for a hidden "bar" and a secure out of view place to charge cell phones.

As to the mount. the one in the photo looks very similar to mine, except for the long rectangular piece on the front. Does that remove? Is it part of the prior TV?

I purchase my x17z used and the mount was already there. My TV aligned with the mounting holes on the mount (there were several sets of holes which I believe were for different size TV's)

I did try to find a similar mount on-line without luck but I have seen others in a Jayco before. Perhaps it was an option and you may want to try to email Jayco customer service with your trailer VIN to see if they can provide more info. I recall a 24" TV was an x17z option.

After a trip to Walmart today, I found this mount for $9.99. With a little creativity, I managed to make it work. Thanks for the tips everyone!
