Last thing I want to do is cover the AC - eh ... exactly how do I go about doing that? It's pretty much in the middle of the trailer? Are we supposed to stand on these? Or do I sorta have to shimmy up there on my belly, but that would be the same weight. ????
You can walk on the roof, I've done it many times.

Damp rid is a product that takes humidity out of the air. The kit I have contains white crystals that are suspended in a screen type basket and the water is collected at the bottom. I bought the kit at the rv dealer but then found out I can buy the crystals separately at home depot cheaper. It actually works quite well.

I walked on the roof my 17Z many times. It will take your weight. "Wear soft shoes and be careful" was the advice I was given. About the A/C cover - a representative from Airxcel told me if the cover doesn't breathe properly, it will cause damage. I never covered mine and never had any problems.
