Well, I fixed my generator; got it running perfectly. In prep for a trip to the 24 hour race at Daytona this weekend, I went through a checklist, and tried everything out. The bedroom slider worked great, but the main room slider did not. I can hear a clunk, and noticed the slider moved out about an inch, but would not budge anymore.

I shut off the generator and hooked up the cord to my 30 amp plug of the house. Tried the main room slider again. Nothing. Luckily, I crawled under camper, and found the motor; released the "lock switch", and then with a 3/4 ratchet and 1/2 drive, was able to manually crank the slider closed.

Any tips for troubleshooting? I plan (when I get back from the race) to manually open the slider with the crank/ratchet method, and see if some track lube will help. If not, is it the motor on these that go bad?

Like I mentioned, there appears to be power to the motor, as it will make a noise and open about an inch before stopping. It was working about 4 months ago on the last camping trip I took.

Chassis battery is new and charged. It would not work with gen running, or electric hookup to the house.
