So, I had a new control thermostat come in and i went to put in the storage box in the Aqua hot compartment this AM… glad i did as i found the Overflow Tank empty…and the Aqua hot still working/running -
So got out the reserve fluid that I keep just for this purpose and refilled the system with just less than a gallon. I guess a few weeks ago when I cleaned the system and replaced the control thermostat, I did not completely get the system filled properly to capacity. Having only used the water heater function and basement heater, never had the chance to run the zone 1 and 2 flows/circulation pumps long enough. I thought I did when I completed the maintenance, but apparently the system didn’t run the pumps for zone 1 and 2 enough. I ran the zone 1/2 heaters this AM, just to take the chill out the air little faster, and thought I had heard a gurgling noise from the Kozy Heaters… and so the system didn’t get all the air bubbles out the last time….but the overflow tank switch should have cut the system off when the fluid drained…had to adjust the switch slightly and now works great.
Another lesson learned with the Aqua Hot system.
Now have to figure out why the Thetford 700 series macerator motor will not come on after the dump this AM. Dumped, it worked fine, then after finished dumping, and refilled the tank with clean water to do flush dump, the macerator motor would not turn on…trying to find any fuse that may be in the works blown… one more thing….
