battery upgrade requirements

I was all set to upgrade from the standard, single 12V coach battery to 2-6V ones until I spoke to the dealer. He said it might require a bigger inverter, new circuit breakers etc. and that seems like a bigger project than what I'd like to undertake for my 2019 Redhawk 26XD.
Suggestions?

Tell the person you talked too to educate himself. More amp batteries takes a bit longer to re-charge. On the other hand you have more amps available.
Go for the 2- 6 volt batteries in series if they will fit in your RV.

What??? 2-6volts = 1 12 volt. Both are 12v as installed in the RV. Guy at the dealer doesn't know what he is talking about and I would be suspect to believe any other info he gave you about your new camper. twin 6volt cart batteries are the gold standard for your RV.

Thanks, ALJO and Bassdogs. What the dealer told me didn't make a lot of sense but I'm no electrician.
My remaining challenge is to reconfigure the storage area under a step. 6Vs are a little too tall for my spot and I plan to cut the tube rails and mount a new shelf lower. Make sense?

Find a new service dept. I wouldn't let those guys change the air in my tires with a response like that.

Thanks again to all who responded. I'm done with that concern and service dept.

The issue now is reconfiguring the storage area under a step for 6V batteries which are taller than the standard battery.

Replace our 1 12V with two 6V a couple years ago. Battery boxes were not tall enough, just set the lids on top with a bungee cord/ strap. Are idea is when the warranty's up we never go back to the dealer, for anything!

That the dealer didn't know, is bad. But, leave it to a dealer to immediately cover up with a lie. If it weren't for the RV industry, we'd have to build more prisons.
