Dicor Ultra Sealant

My trailer is a 2017 with a TPO roof. Soon after purchase I had to seal up a few places on the roof. Dicor recommended first using Dicor Ultra Sealant RV Roof Primer, followed by Dicor Ultra Sealant which is made for use on TPO roofs. It's similar to the Lap Sealant for EPDM roof material.

I went looking today for another tube and cannot find it anywhere: Amazon, Camping World, and various RV supply outlets don't carry it. So does anyone know if Dicor has changed their requirements for sealants on TPO roofs? Dicor's website shows TPO roof materials, but nothing in the way of TPO roof sealants. The do say sealants for EPDM roofs are not to be used on TPO roof material.

No help here to find more.

But have you considered using Eternabond? Do it once and you never have to do it again.

I’ve used it for other issues, but I just have some minor cracking in a couple of seams, and 3 screw holes that look like they need a touch of sealant.

This evening I sent off an E-mail to Dicor....hope they respond. I have a feeling they replace the “Ultra” with something new. Last time I bought a tube was in 2017 from Camping World. Thanks for the suggestion...

Excuse me but how do you determine if the roof is TPO or EPDM material?

I also have a 2017 model......TPO then?

EPDM is usually white on top, black on the bottom. TPO is the same color top & bottom. Some older TPO had a felt like backing.

I finally received a response from Dicor about my TPO roof:

"We no longer have the Ultrasealant product. You can use the 501 Self-leveling lap sealant on your roof. The Ultrasealant Primer is not necessary"

That answers that issue, so now you know the rest of the story... as Paul Harvey used to say.

Just ran across this . . .

It's weird because even today, 1/5/2019, you can buy the Dicor Ultra Sealant primer on Amazon.
And Dicor still has a page on their site talking about their Ultra Sealant.

I'm investigating Chemlink's Novalink SL self leveling for my TPO roof. It's not it's intended use, but their products are really advanced and I've had good luck otherwise with them. From what I've seen Dicor Lap Sealant tends to form cracks way down the line.

What were you actually trying to do - fix a gap ?

I had some weather cracking around my skylight that needed some attention. I'm using Dicor 501 now, seems to be as good.
