Factory Sealant Type

I swapped out my side marker lights yesterday for the furion camera version and notice the factory sealant, clear, isn't a silicone type product it was harder and more like a glue. I like the way the sealant behaved so I'm curious what they use from the factory?

Proflex or OSI Quad. Quad is readily available at Lowe’s/HD. Proflex is rv specific. I prefer Proflex it tools easily with water or mineral spirits.

The factory uses OSI Quad Sealant.

OSI Quad

If you have never used it before, it is STICKY STUFF. Cut a very small tip. I place painters tape everywhere where I do not want it.

I use my finger to tool it. But I found I need a very soap water solution to keep it from sticking to me. I apply a very small amount, tool it, and apply a little more, Don't forget to tool it with your very soapy finger, repeat as needed. This stuff does not act the same as your typical silicone caulk.
