Plumbing Part

I have a 2020 Greyhawk 27u. On my last trip I kicked something up from the tires into my black tank valve and waste hose connection.

1. I am trying to identify and replace the wye fitting between the grey and black tank valves, where the waste hose attaches.

2. Are the gate valves glued onto the wye fitting.

Any help to locate the correct part or part number is appreciated.

There is a ton of different wye fittings, depending on what yours looks like. The dump valves are not glued to it, rather attached with 4 corner bolts and nuts. Seals in the valves seal against the wye flanges. Your gray drain might be either 1 1/4", or 1 1/2". The black side will be 3". This is only an example picture of what I'm referring to.

My black and grey tank valves are both 3 in bladex valves that connect to opposite sides of the wye. The final connection of the wye is where you hook the hose to. My connections from the wye to the gate valves do not look like the ones you have posted. I have looked at Amazon and do not see my wye there. I will post a pic in a day or two to see if anyone knows a source for it.

Anticipating your pictures, and in the meantime, Here's a 3" Y fitting. It would require three more pieces, two glue in valve flanges, and a sewer hose connection fitting.

EDIT: Here's some Y and flange fittings on the Valterra site to look at also.

Here are 3 pics of my assembly. Note the backside of wye pic where the lower tab for the hose connection that has been rubbed/scraped off. This results in a poor hose connection fit, with a very minor drip when draining tanks. It appears that the 2nd link you provided has the appropriate fitting, if I can figure out whether I need the spigot or the hub items.

I will need to reuse the valve flanges on the pipe sides to assist assembly without changing the dimension of the assembly into the piping arrangement.

I submitted my vin to Robert Crist RV's and received a quote for the assembly for $127, all in cost. Seems pretty high, and it is not the correct part. The hose connection is too long and does not contain the locking tabs for the hose. Pic below.

Take a close look at this one. The flanges can rotate to accommodate the direction of the ones on the RV you'll connect the valves to and has the nubs to connect a sewer hose to. The rotating flanges would allow you to raise the outlet up (more to the horizontal) so it isn't so prone to getting scuffed. No idea the cost, but if the dimensions are right, it may be what you need.

JFlight, thanks so much for the time you have spent assisting me. I assume I will need to call Valtera and get a quote as well as the dimensions, I am not seeing that kind of information anywhere as of now. I think my wye joint will also rotate.

I have already purchased a new gate valve to slide into the broken grey tank valve position. I was not aware of the damage to my wye fitting. It was $9 so if I don't use it I can keep it as a spare.

I am thinking about grinding off the remaining 3 tabs and installing the fitting below. It is about $7 and I can get it pretty quick. If it still leaks after that I can pursue one of the wyes by calling Valtera. Any thoughts as to whether this would work?

That would be great if your Y has the rotating flanges already. I have installed one of those fittings on a friend's trailer, that had the nubs ground off for hard plumbing at a seasonal site. I finished up taking the nub remnants to perfectly smooth, did a dry fit with that fitting and marked how far it went on, then scuffed both glue surfaces well with emery cloth (or sandpaper). You can get a can of combination PVC/ABS pipe cement from your local plumbing source. Regular straight PVC glue won't work well.

And you're most welcome for the help. Glad to be of some assistance for you. Trying to find the right parts goes way back to a previous life. Let us know how it turns out. Inquiring minds want to know! Happy plumbing!

I finished the install yesterday. I think I am in pretty good shape now.

Nice job! It looks straighter and less likely to get bumped.
