Side light marker

Hi All,
I’ve replaced the front driver side, side light amber lens, 3x in the past 2 years (2017 JayFlight 287 BHSW). Is there a trick I’m not aware of, or should I just replace the entire light fixture?

That's unusual. There isn't a trick I'm aware of. I'd replace the fixture. My DW would want me to replace the others so they all match. The compromise would be I'll just replace the bulb, again.

It’s the plastic cover I can’t seem to get to stay in place. For $6.99 each (Lumnitronic-Amazon), I think I’ll just replace all the fixtures-our wives must be related😆

Have you thought of a dab of silicon?

Thanks, I did try some Dicor no sag the first time, but maybe I didn’t prep well enough or clean enough of the old sealant. Maybe I’ll try that again first.
